Information

As an art director in his studio PhilipvanTolf64, he works multidisciplinary on various projects. Because of his fashion background, the imagination merges into illustration and presentation. Philip designs for and advises and guides various clients from an illustrative spirit and has a strong communicative insight in developing a brand identity. In his studio there are ongoing art projects in which photography, film and drawing depict his ideas. 

Teaching and Consulting

As a teacher, he has been teaching illustration, visualisation, and presentation part-time since 2004 to various Academies. He also gives master classes in drawing and technique.

Dogs on my Mind

The drawings are made with a dip pen in Indian ink on acid-free cardboard and the size does not exceed an A4 size.

 

Philip van Tol's fascination for clothing and textiles reveals itself in the pen drawings he makes of the dogs. There is so much difference in the fur of these four-legged friends. The texture of the hair often reflects the character of the dog. The book came out in 2021.
